Koby Language Center is seeking to fill an IMMEDIATE full time English Language Coordinator position or Assistant Director position.TO START AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
Master’s degree in TESOL, linguistics with a TESOL emphasis, or English with a TESOL emphasis 5 to 6 years of teaching experience
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must demonstrate:
1. Academic preparation for, and successful experience in, teaching different levels and skills of ESL including academic reading and writing.
2. Experience working effectively and professionally with colleagues. Must be flexible.
3. Skills and experience to motivate students from various academic, cultural, ethnic, and language backgrounds.
4. Evidence of a strong commitment to remain current in TESOL.
5. Fluency and accuracy in spoken and written English.
6. Experience teaching ESL/EFL to all levels.
7. Experience in teaching business English and test preparation courses.
8. Willingness to follow school procedures and policies.
9. Ability to create ESL teaching materials and design and modify the curriculum.
10. Knowledge and experience regarding ESL testing and placement methods.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will also be evaluated for qualifications in the following:
1. Knowledge of, and skills in, use of computer technology and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL).
2. Experience teaching and knowledge of TOEFL and TOEIC exams.
3. Workshop presentations, materials and curriculum development, collaborative teaching endeavors, classroom-based research, and committee work.
4. Experience in ESL/EFL program design and coordination.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participate in the planning and implementation of courses and school activities that result in student success and support the visions, missions and values of the school.
2. Work 40 hours per week including days, evenings, and some weekends.
3. Teach all English classes offered by the school as needed.
4. Administer TOEFL & TOEIC exams that include days and evenings.
5. Design and update the school's website.
6. Resolve issues with computer, printers, and other office equipment; resolve problems with the campus, which includes contacting building management and maintenance.
7. Manage the computer lab.
8. Manage personnel and day-to-day operations of the school.
9. Report directly to the Director/President of the school.
Candidates possessing the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed an interview.
Initial placement is based on a candidate's university education and professional experience. A minimum of three (5) years of professional work experience is required.
