EDITORIAL DIRECTOR -ESL
is responsible for product lines in one or more market segments; plans products and directs their research and development; responsible for achieving assigned sales, profit, and return-on-investment goals; defines new products and manages the development of multi-leveled, multi-component editorial projects; works with the Marketing Department to create focus group scripts and prompts. Manages two or more subordinate supervisors; is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of a unit; plans job assignments and staff development.
M.A. degree or equivalent and minimum eight years related educational publishing experience and/or training. Strong high school related experience preferred. Must be computer literate in Macintosh O/S and MS Word. Ability to use or learn QuarkXPress, Project, and Excel software. Must be able to use the Internet efficiently for research. Must speak fluent Spanish.
