POSITION: ELEMENTARY - English Language Acquisition Coach - Teacher on Special Assignment

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The Cherry Creek School District complies with the rules and regulations set forth by the Colorado Department of Education in terms of hiring candidates who are CURRENTLY LICENSED OR ENDORSED IN THE APPROPRIATE CONTENT AREA(S)

1. Master's degree in ESL, Linguistically Different, Bilingual, ELL, or ELD preferred.
2. Ability to organize and manage events, workshops and materials.
3. Ability to facilitate meetings and trainings
4. Knowledgeable about second language acquisition research, strategies, best practices and literacy; evidence of ongoing professional development
5. Ability to collaborate on district-wide initiatives and with team members
6. Familiarity and working knowledge of state ELD standards, state & federal guidelines, and OCR as related to ELLs
7. Ability to diagnose ELA needs and provide individualized teacher and school staff development support
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills
9. Skilled in problem solving, organization, and leadership
