Full-time positions for TESOL Instructors

The UC Riverside Extension Center is looking experienced ESL instructors for our Intensive English Programs. One year contract is renewable upon satisfactory teaching performance and program needs.

Qualifications and Requirements
• BA with a Certificate in TESOL required; M.A. in TESOL or related field strongly preferred
• 2 years’ experience teaching in an intensive-like program
• Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, adaptability, and cross-cultural sensitivity
• Ability to work in a team
• CALL experience and basic computing knowledge preferred

Responsibilities
• 20 contact hours per week; 40 per year
• Teach or perform alternate duties as needed
• Attend weekly teachers’ meetings
• Participate in student activities
• Counsel and assist students, as necessary
• Serve on committees, as necessary
• Review and develop curricula, as necessary
• Proctor exams, as necessary
• Perform other duties, as required or as detailed in the Instructors’ manual

Salary and benefits: $31,286 - $ 46,495 with full UC benefits
