Senior Associate position open at the Annenberg Institute for School Reform
As one of the nation’s foremost policy centers
addressing issues of urban school reform, the
Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown
University develops, shares, and acts on knowledge
That improves the conditions and outcomes of
Schooling in America, especially in urban communities
And in schools serving disadvantaged children.

The Annenberg Institute at Brown University in Providence, RI is looking for a Senior Associate with fluency in a 2nd language, Spanish preferred to develop, design, implement, manage, and document research that informs Institute project work, specifically in the area of English-Language Learners and cultural proficiency. Co-plan and coordinate research and technical support activities with similar school reform organizations as well as community-based organizations, school districts, municipal and local governments, and states, with special emphasis on equity and excellence in large urban districts. Coordinate the work of project teams, serving as the primary contact for workscope definition, research needs, and material development. Prepare written reports and other products. Work collaboratively with other Institute projects.
Qualifications are:
• Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in educational research.
• Experience at the national, state, or large urban level as a teacher or administrator AND/OR working on education reform issues.
• Demonstrated ability to develop programs and manage multiple related projects, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively within and across organizations.
• Knowledge of school district reform philosophies and practices.
• Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Spanish fluency preferred.
• Experience in working with English Language Learners at the middle and high school levels
