We are a new school with 3 foreign teachers and 200 students. We are in urgent need of a fourth teacher to begin working with us by February 2012. This date can be pushed forward slightly but ideally we want to start taking someone through the working VISA application ASAP. The school is called DD Dragon and we teach English to children from 3 to 14. Most of the work will be with children aged from 7 to 12. The job is in Jiang Pu, Nanjing, China. Jiang Pu is a small town located about 45 minutes away from central Nanjing. This makes it a perfect location for someone who wants the benefits of city life without having to live directly in the smoke. Jiang Pu is a very traditional and friendly place. Our investor is lovely and she does everything she can to make her staff happy and comfortable. We are a small and happy working team. The school will pay a monthly salary of 6500 RMB plus 1000 RMB housing allowance for the first 3 months. This will then go up to 7,500 RMB + 1000 RMB per month for the remainder of the contract. The contract is for one year. The reason for the lower salary at the beginning is because for the first three months there will be very little teaching time. At the beginning, the teacher will be observing the other teachers classes and will be trained by myself. Your maximum teaching hours will be 18 hours per week, but as I said, you will not be teaching at this volume for at least three months. You will also receive 6000 RMB for your return flight, half which will be paid to you at six months, and the other half that will be paid at the end of the year. This is more than what is needed for a return flight from England. I am unsure about other countries but it should cover it. Your working VISA will be paid for by the school. You will also get an extra 4000 RMB bonus at the end of your contract plus 1000 RMB for full attendance. We are a private language school and have a maximum class size of 12 students. Each class will be taught for one hour per class. Jiang Pu is a very cheap area to live. All your accommodation can be paid for with your allowance, unless you choose to pay more for a newer building. The wage is more than enough to live off and save. I live in a two bedroom flat which costs me 1000 RMB per month. I have just finished a year living in Jiang Pu working with the school and have signed for a second year. from January 2011 to January 2012 I have saved 55'000 RMB (£5'500). I saved this amount without consciously trying to save. If anyone is seriously interested, or knows of anyone who may be, please contact me ASAP. We need a teacher to be here fairly swiftly.
