2. Cool Web Tool
===================================================

Ever wonder which Web site is worth visiting? Which
employer site really has traffic? Download the Alexa
toolbar (Alexa is an Amazon company) and find out:

...Alexa works with Internet Explorer to add the Alexa
toolbar immediately below your Web address (URL) line. It
gives you a ranking of the site you are viewing against all
other Web sites, as well as links to related sites.

The toolbar is loaded with useful information about every
site on the web, like customer reviews, traffic rankings and
web site contact information. Plus. We believe this is the
most useful toolbar available today.

The Alexa Toolbar is a free search and navigation companion
that accompanies you as you surf, providing useful
information about the sites you visit without interrupting
your Web browsing.

- Search the Web and other resources directly from your
toolbar.
- Learn about Web sites including traffic information and
contact info.
- Surf more efficiently with Related Links for each page.
- Share opinions about sites with other users.

An impressive feature of the toolbar is the Wayback Machine
that can transport you back in time to show you how your
favourite sites looked in the past. Click the Wayback
button, select a date, and go!

We use the tool here at the ESL employment office to quickly
sort through which sites are real (and which are not) in our
Web surfing. Give it a try!
