Since the launch of the ESL School Finder I've been getting
the same question from a number of different newsletter
subscribers:

"How many schools are listed in Japan, China or Spain..."

Well the answer is in the Subject of this message! As you
can imagine this is just a small portion of the 9714 schools
listed but certainly enough to start getting that job you
want now.

Good luck on your job hunt!

3. From the Field - Students At What Cost?
===================================================

You have a young student in your class who just isn't
keeping up. You've worked with him overtime to help him, but
quite simply, he just needs a slower paced class. You
approach the administrator to let them know that the student
needs to be moved to another class, but your request is
ignored. You wait weeks, and when no action is taken you ask
why. The answer? The school doesn't want to risk insulting,
and then losing, the student.

===================================================
4. From the Field - Budgeting for professional development
===================================================

Are you preparing budgets for the next academic year? I know
schools have many calls on their income so it is not
surprising that many organizations give priority to the
budgetary requirements of such areas as marketing or books
and equipment. However, marketing and up-to-date books,
materials and equipment will not be worth investing in if
the teaching team has become stale and has lost enthusiasm
because, without any doubt, your teachers are your most
valuable resource. So how can you budget cost-effectively
for teacher development?...
