1. International calls for zero dollars
===================================================

I've just come across a great deal from my calling card
company offering a no obligation trial on international
calling minutes.

I've used these guys for years for my international
calls...they are by far the cheapest and most flexible way
to save money calling home or for business...I ought to
know..I've been making international recruiting calls for
years. The best part of the service other than being dirt
cheap...you can make calls from home OR your cell phone.

If you want some free international minutes I'd take a look
at this now. I'm not sure how long they are planning to keep
this offer around.

------>> STOP! THESE TEACHERS NEED YOUR HELP! <<------

Your colleagues are looking for guidance and help from
fellow professionals. Take a minute and help them out!

--> Kuplungmaster writes...Comparing Business EFL Programs

...The whole book courses are way too rigid. Apart from
Brits, whose idea about business communication is stuck in
the 19th century, the whole planet has moved in totally
different direction...

http://www.esl-jobs-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=845#845

--> lotte writes...Anyone teaching in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia?

...Any information on teaching English in Kuala Lumpur would
be great! Im currently living in Tokyo, Japan. Going to KL
in a couple of weeks. Thanks!...

http://www.esl-jobs-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=453#453

--> Kelly writes...TEFL Certificate

...I'm asking if there really is a new Mexican law that you
must have a TEFL certficate to teach in Mexico and if: An
advanced degree in ESL (plus a college degree), Latin
American teaching experience with kids and adults, US
certification, fluent Spanish (and experience teaching
Spanish), experience teaching ESL in the United States, plus
being a native speaker of English can't be used to waive
this requirement. That is what an employer told me. Does
anyone have any information about this?...

3. From the Field - Take Your Students Shopping!
===================================================

Teaching about American money can be as boring or exciting
as you make it. Instead of just having your students
memorize what coin has what value and then simply answer
when asked, why not make it fun? And what better defines fun
than a shopping trip? Here’s how it works: Either use real
American money (coins and bills) or make some fake ones.
(You can design them yourself, or find graphics online.)
Then you’ll need to pre-select some items that will be "for
sale."

===================================================
4. From the Field - Providing feedback
===================================================

Hello again. I've been writing about academic management
recently and I wanted to focus today on giving students
feedback. Feedback is crucial for helping students to know
where they are in the learning process and where they need
to go in the future. Sponsors may also need to receive clear
feedback to help measure the effectiveness of the training
they send people to do.
