1. 4 Part Series - Tips for a Writing a Winning Resume
===================================================In week four of our four part series on creating a
winning resume we cover one of the fudamentals of effective
resume writing.
------------------------------------------------------------Your resume should always be written in the first
person...never use the word I or me. It is important to use
the active tone, which is first person. Third person is a
passive tone and should never be used in a resume. For example:
First Person -- correct:
- Utilized computer expertise to create word puzzles
and math problems for lessons; implemented children's
educational games into lessons, promoting a fun and exciting
learning environment.
Third Person -- wrong:- Mrs. Brown utilized computer expertise to create
word puzzles and math problems for lessons; she also
implemented children's educational games into lessons,
promoting a fun and exciting learning environment.------------------------------------------------------------
