Gloria House of English (GHE) is an expanding branch of Gloria English Course, which is a family-owned English language teaching school first established in the late 1960s. GHE caters for the language learning needs of older students - senior high school to adults. Courses are based on modern, recently published texts. We also run IELTS, TOEFL, Academic English, Pre-Departure Training, private company classes, and a list of other learning opportunities for students. Our teachers are also deployed to other Gloria branches that focus on elementary school and junior high school aged students. We are looking for extra staff members capable of teaching any age group, using a communicative, student-centred approach. Maximum class size - strictly 16. There are three positions available to supplement our growing staff at GHE as we continue to expand and diversify our programs. We currently have 6 native speakers, and are now seeking experienced teachers who may also be capable of planning and presenting teacher development and training activities to our 90+ local teachers. Teaching couples are encouraged to apply. Visa requirements set by the Indonesian Government restrict us to applicants who: • hold a Degree in English Education OR • hold a Degree in Education, plus have an internationally recognised TESOL/TEFL qualification • are ‘native speakers’ of English from Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA and Canada; • are aged between 25 and 55.
