Qualifications and Experience
Native level speaker of English
Has an enhanced Access NI check
First degree or above (preferably Masters level)
Trinity CertTESOL/CELTA qualified
Professional appearance
Excellent computer literacy with proven competence in administration and all Microsoft Office packages
Good working knowledge of IWBs
Experience and an understanding of working with student databases and timetabling staff effectively and efficiently
Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required by North West Academy of English

Essential skills include: ability to work in a team, ability to build and foster relationships, ability to motivate and develop others, great customer service skills, entrepreneurial spirit, effective communication and ability to manage own performance.
Minimum 2 years teaching experience
Experience of managing staff in an educational capacity
Experience working in a multicultural environment
Candidates available for face to face interviews will be given priority.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Teach classes as agreed with the Director of Studies.
Arrange/provide cover when teachers are sick.
Teacher induction, teacher training and development. Ensure regular observations and feedback takes place. Designing training and providing information and advice on external training as agreed with the Director of Studies.
Hold regular staff meetings and training sessions for teachers and ensure these are followed up with minutes of the meeting and filed for future reference.
Regularly observe teachers and provide constructive feedback.
Assist with recruitment of teachers in line with student enrolments and in accordance with company policy (including child safeguarding and welfare); following up references systematically; ensuring all HR documents are provided by new teachers
Discipline staff in line with company procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Ensure teachers are up to date with administrative procedures including registers, records of work and reports.
Syllabus Design
Co-ordinate examinations entries and certificates.
Liaise with Accommodation and other administrative staff on students pastoral care
Attend conferences, as necessary.
Deputise for Director of Studies in her absence.
Liaise with Group Leaders and Agents on visits to School.
Work within parameters set by outside bodies such as ETI and British Council
