An Introduction to the Canadian Foundation Centre for International Education The Canadian Foundation Center for International Education (hereafter identified as CFCIE), is a trans-national education organization having the mandate to establish "Sino-Canadian International Colleges" (SCIC) at the post-secondary level and "Sino-Canadian International Schools" (SCIS) at the secondary level of education in China. The company was founded by Samuel Rong in 1995 and has its head office in the Airport Corporate Center of Toronto. For over twenty years, Samuel Rong has actively encouraged cultural and educational exchanges between Canada and China including receiving and hosting seminars in Canada, finding personnel for government and business leaders in China; and assisted in placing more than 300 students and scholars from across China in North America, the UK, and Australia. As an invited member of Prime Minister Jean Chretien's 2001 Team Canada Delegation to China and Hong Kong, Samuel Rong signed commercial contracts at the Team Canada Official Contract Signing Ceremony in Beijing with Guangxi University and Chinese Authorities for the establishment of Sino-Canadian International Colleges and Canadian Educational Model Programs in China. Samuel Rong has actively participated in a variety of events encouraging friendship between Canada and China: sponsored a corporate table at the reception for CNPCC Chairman Li Ruihuan in Toronto in 2002; a Team Canada Member and a Platinum Sponsor of the Canada China Business Council, AGM Gala Banquet in Beijing in 2003; received by His Excellency Wen Jiabao, Premier of China, in Beijing in 2003 for his significant contributions to Canada � China friendship; a member of the Canada Trade Mission to Mainland China and Hong Kong led by Prime Minister Paul Martin in 2005; presented a seminar titled "A Road Map to China" for Hong Kong and Macao government and business leaders arranged by the Canadian Trade Mission in Hong Kong; contributed to the Educational Sector of the Ontario Trade Mission to Mainland China and Hong Kong led by Premier Dalton McGuinty in November 2005; participated in the Canada China Business Council's "30 Years of Policy Conference and Annual General Meeting" in Beijing and Chongqing jointly headed by multiple Ministers and Canadian Premiers, November 2008; participated in the Canada China Business Summit & Welcome Banquet in Ottawa celebrating 40 years of the Canada China Friendship Relations jointly hosted by PM Stephen Harper of Canada and President Hu Jintao of China, June 2010; a member of the Ontario Trade Mission to China led by the Premier of Ontario, Kathleen Wynne in 2017. A Brief Introduction to CFCIE's Programs in China: CFCIE has established more than five (5) SCIC chain model programs in China including SCIC programs in Liaoning (2000), Heilongjiang (2001), Guangxi (2001), Guilin (2008) and Chongqing (2009), as well as SCIS's in Liaoning (2001), Guangxi (2003). CFCIE has also established two Uncle Sam's English Houses (USEH), chain English education programs for kids aged 3 to 12 years old., in Nanning City, the capital of Guangxi Province, China in year 2012. Since the establishment of the first SCIC at Guangxi University, Nanning, Guangxi, and SCIS programs in China, CFCIE has trained over 20,000 students and employed over 400 native English-speaking teachers from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
