Fairmont Private Schools was founded in 1953 by public school educator Kenneth Holt who began offering summer school instruction to a handful of students out of his home. His focus on academic fundamentals, phonics-based language arts instruction and character development attracted the attention of local parents and ultimately grew into a full-time school program at what is now the Mable campus in Anaheim. The Largest Non-Sectarian Private School in Orange County Over the years, Fairmont has grown to six Orange County campuses and provides preschool-twelfth grade instruction to over 2,200 students. Now the oldest and largest, non-sectarian private school in the County, Fairmont has a reputation for superior instruction with superior outcomes as evidenced in our annual Report Card, a listing of standardized test scores and other student achievements. Art, music and drama instruction instill an appreciation for the fine and performing arts. In addition to regular PE classes, students learn sportsmanship and teamwork in Fairmont athletics programs. All Fairmont schools are NIPSA (National Independent Private Schools Association) accredited and several campuses hold WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) accreditations.
