Here's a little bit about this blog in the author's own words:
"My name is David Royal, and I'm an associate director of the University of South Florida's English Language Program. My intention with this website is to bring together resources for ESL and EFL teachers who are interested in integrating global issues and / or environmental activism into their classes.
In addition to the blog there are a bunch of static pages. These include my teaching materials and links to other resources. My materials are divided in to two sections: general and global issues-specific. The links are similarly divided into ESL and global issues sections, along with a collection of research articles, journals and email groups. I also have an ESL podcast, in which I offer ideas, share materials and discuss my teaching.
Over the past couple of years I have published a few articles on bringing global issues and activism into the language classroom. I've also done a few presentations on these topics, and I led a project making an intensive English program more environmentally responsible. If you have any materials you'd like to share, please let me know."
